Studio Time: Pre-Production

I’m working diligently on pre-production in the studio with some of the best musicians in San Francisco.  We are preparing to make THE 2013 debut album I have always wanted to create.  No pressure or anything!

I have taken some video of pre-production but I am waiting for the right time to edit it down and share it with everyone.  Although it’s there to share, I’m  really trying hard to keep my focus on recording and the music. It is amazing how much I use the computer for audio pre-production.  It is just as amazing how easily distracting new tools and technology can be when I am in a creative mood.

Technology is so tempting!  Trying desperately to find the balance!

…and Gigs!

To take the edge off of the studio time, I have some great shows for October coming together to keep me on my feet.  These include two great events with Rock The Bike, and Shake Your Peace!:

Julien Davis Rally

  • September 29th, 2012
  • Panhandle, just East of Masonic
  • 12-3pm
  • Come support and hear a free show supporting District 5 Supervisor candidate: Julien Davis. Support local small businesses, families and community, as well as bikes and public transportation.
  • More info here.

GMO Awareness

  • Environmental Group of Marin event
  • October 13th
  • San Rafael, CA
  • $25 — includes food, music, and drink at the event
  • It is my honor to support with my music the Environmental Group of Marin that teaches classes on GMO food and ways we can live more sustainably. This is happening on October 13th. I will be biking there from San Francisco — anyone want to ride with me and help support this organization?  If so, email: booking@soulgraffiti.info.

Birthdays!

Happy birthday to October birthday friends.  Especially: Paul Freedman (October 3rd) and Gabe Dominguez (October 13th).  Make sure you give them a phatty kiss on the cheek!

And now, back to the studio!

Justin
