Justin Ancheta & Honey of the Heart Live At Elixart, Nevada City, CA Acoustic World Roots with Later night Dance DJ Set

This Saint Patrick’s Day, local rhythm world funksters rise up from the Bay Area, returning home for this spectacular night of dance inspiration, Justin Ancheta (Justin Ancheta Band, Honey of the Heart, Cradle Duende) will be joined by musical collaborators: Beau Askey (Percussion), Maren Metke (Vocals-Honey of the Heart) and Thomas Spellman (Bass).

About The Group:

Justin Ancheta & Honey of the Heart is a positively-charged, high-energy band from the Sierra Foothills. They bring together world rhythms and sounds with some heavy doses of funk and reggae. Lacing socially-conscious lyrics and guitar melodies over a steady foundation of percussion. Regionally acclaimed, Justin has played Northern California’s favorite venues such as the Independent, Slim’s, Yoshi’s, and the Great American Music Hal, playing more than 1.5 decades of shows and touring Europe, Mexico, and the United States.

Ancheta has shared the stage with The Wailers, Joan Baez, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Charles Neville, Taj Mahal, & Rising Appalachia, to name a few.

“The Justin Ancheta Band’s music is an invitation to dance, while the music and lyrics are complex and intelligent, leaving a sweet aftertaste in the heart and soul.” “A beat that is global in scope.” — Gus Thompson, Auburn Journal “One of the best and brightest bands…” — Mark S. Allen, Good Morning Sacramento (KMAX Channel 31)

“Justin Ancheta is a creative force of nature who lives and breathes music. The singer/songwriter/guitarist is relentless in his passion to raise people’s vibrations with his ever-evolving sounds. His extensive repertoire of original compositions is tuned at a healing frequency to catapult audiences to a place of euphoria while surrendering to dance.

Stretch your imagination and fathom a tapestry of folklorico, soul, Latin, gypsy, roots rock, reggae, Americana and jazz fusion. Thoroughly calculated while also representing a stream of consciousness, this is the kind of spontaneity we thrive on.” – Tyler Blue, Director of Music for the Crazy Horse Saloon
